VOCABULARY:

The 50 culture-rich lists (with a total of over 1,200 words) in this book will get your students acclimated to the vocabulary of the city, quartier, apartment building, and classified apartment ads. These ready-made lists will save you untold hours and effort and give your students all the vocabulary they need to get "moved" and "settled" (furnishings, appliances, decorating, etc.) into their own "virtual" apartments in the fabulous "city of light."

Once your students have "moved in", they'll create their neighbors with 13 lists dripping with vocabulary from categories like adjectives, characteristics, nationalities, professions and interests. The final list has 40 stores and businesses, anticipating the next phase of "virtual residence" – "living there" – in which your students will learn French via their daily errands and adventures all over the city.

• The 50 vocabulary lists in this book may also supplement your text chapters, other materials, or special units you conduct.

• The vocabulary lists and "virtual residence" open doors to teaching elements of grammar.
