This is a “Talking Homework” book based on SPEAKING that gets students to think in Spanish sentences and “conversationally.” It offers a change of pace from traditional homework in which students do grammar exercises or answer questions. It also promotes fluency and allows students to express themselves and be creative.
The students are asked to “speak” for any of the 50 cartoon characters, writing 15 “comments” for each activity. All sorts of parameters are possible, making the sheets quite versatile.

- 50 reusable activity sheets, each one featuring a different cartoon character with a comical name. Write the topic or any cues on the sheets before making copies of them.
- 70 strategies for using the 50 versatile activity pages (which can be used to practice any material.)
- 50 small cartoon character cards to use in speaking activities. Once the students meet and talk about the characters, they can carry them into future class activities.
Teachers may assign “GUIDED” (for better accuracy) or “PROFICIENCY-BASED” speaking tasks for homework.

- Paired conversations and class speaking activities.
